The US Air Force launched several airstrikes on the positions of Ḥurras ad-Din in the settlement Barisha in the north of Idlib last night. Eyewitnesses also reported that there was a ground operation by troops in the area. As it was found out later, president of the US Donald Trump said the operation was aimed against the leader of the IS Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was allegedly eliminated in this operation.

The leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces also said that the US Air Force launched an air strike in the village of Ayn al-Bayda located along the road from Jarabulus to Manbij (Aleppo gov.). As a result, the Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir was liquidated. He was the closest assistant to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army fired from the artillery the positions of Tahrir Al-Sham south of the village of Kbanah. The government forces tried to approach the besieged village in the province of Latakia. However, the SAA met serious resistance from the militants.
