Yesterday, militant units launched a counter-offensive, firing at positions recently vacated by the Syrian army in southern Idlib. Using two explosives-filled vehicles, the militants tried to break through the defense line of the SAA and regain control of the lost Sukayk. Nevertheless, government forces managed to repel the attack, eliminating several dozen opponents.
In the evening, the Syrian army resumed operations against the militants Jaysh Al-Izza and Tahrir Al-Sham in the south-west of Idlib and liberated the village of Kafr Ayn, located east of the village Al-Habit. The militants, in turn, said they had destroyed the government tank during the clashes.
Towards midnight, the militants once again launched several rockets in the direction of the Khmeimim airbase (prov. Latakia).
