Yesterday, the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces reported that about 80% of the territory of the city of Al-Baguz (prov. Deir Ezzor) was under their control. The operation is temporarily suspended, but the coalition air forces and Iraqi Hashd al-Shaabi forces continue to fire at the part of the city besieged by terrorists. On the night of February 6-7, terrorists attempted to cross the Euphrates and enter the SAA, but Syrian soldiers prevented the invasion.
Over the past day, government troops again fired at the positions of the Tahrir al-Sham and Jaish al-Izz groups in the north of Hama and the south of Idlib. In response, the militants opened fire on the positions of the SAA in the vicinity of the city of Muhrad (prov. Hama).
More than 5,000 recruits joined the ranks of the Syrian army’s tank divisions in the provinces of Hama and Homs after training under the guidance of the Russian military.
