Syrian Army May to Launch Operation Against Militants in Northwestern Syria

For the past 24 hours, the SAA attacked the IS defense line in the area of the settlement As-Sukhnah in the east of Homs province. In response, the terrorists launched several artillery shells on the positions of government troops.

In the south of the neighboring province of Deir Ezzor, near the border with Iraq, the troops of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” opened a second front against the terrorists and fought off a small territory. Meanwhile, yesterday’s clashes in the city of Hajin ended in failure for the Kurds. The IS pulled together additional troops to the city and repelled the attack, despite the coalition air strikes.

Also yesterday, Turkey issued a final warning to the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants. If jihadists do not leave the demilitarized zone in the north-west of the Syrian Republic in the near future, the SAA and the RuAF will begin a large-scale operation against the violators of the agreement.
