Over the past day, the Syrian troops once again organized the assault on the ISIS positions in the Al-Safa volcanic plateau in the north-east of the province of As-Suwayda, and as a result, they have captured the cliff with a view on the besieged territory. However, during the fighting, the terrorists managed to ambush the enemy and eliminate at least 14 SAA soldiers.

Yesterday morning, the soldiers of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” began the final phase of the operation against the Islamic State on the east side of the Euphrates River in the south of the province of Deir Ezzor. Despite the dimension of the offensive and the support from the Coalition Air Forces and Iraqi artillery, the terrorists managed to repulse attacks, killing at least 6 Kurdish soldiers.

At the same time, the Syrian army, with the help of the Russian Air Forces, has also launched the anti-terrorist operation in the east of the province of Homs. It is reported that the troops captured about 30 km2 and reached the settlement of Bir Rashwani, located to the south-east of the city of As-Sukhnah.

Apparently, for a while, the SAA will be distracted from the militants based in the north-west of the Syrian Republic. In the provinces of Hama and Idlib, a temporary ceasefire was introduced. Most likely, its action will continue until the end of the negotiations of Russia, Turkey and Iran.
