Russian Air Forces Launches Operation Against Militants in North-West of Syria

Syrian Air Defense attempts to confront Israeli missiles, explosion reported in Baniyas/almasdarnews

Meanwhile, Russian aviation, together with the Syrian Air Forces, launched the largest operation in this year against militants in the west of Idlib province and north-west of Hama province. Over the past day, the Russian Air Forces have inflicted more than 70 air strikes on the “Tahrir al-Sham” and the “Islamic Party of Turkestan” fighters, based in the city of Jisr al-Shughour (Idlib gov.) and its surroundings. It is reported about victims among the civilians.

Closer to the evening, infrastructure objects of the Syrian army were attacked by the Israeli Air Forces. The first blows were made in the area of the city of Masyaf in the west of the province of Hama. Syrian Air Defense Systems tried to disrupt the attack, but some missiles achieved their ground targets. At least one person was killed, four more were seriously injured. A little later, the Israeli aviation attacked the post of the SAA, located to the north of the city of Baniyas in the north-west of Latakia province.
