Destroying Islamic State’s snipers, the SAA advanced 1.2 km in the Tulul Safa area in As-Suwayda province. A total of about 45 people were killed. Government troops surrounded terrorists on the territory of volcanic Al-Safa Mountain. Terrorists offered to exchange captured local residents for unhindered withdrawal of their troops to the west of the province. The Syrian Army later took control of Khirbat Hawi.
Terrorists in turn attacked the position of the SAA in the settlement of Sayyal north of the city of Abu Kamal in Deir Ezzor province.
It is reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces sent their new troops to the al-Shafa and Hajine neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor governorate. The US sent a new group of Marines to the base near the Omar oil field.
