Syrian Army One Step Away From Liberating As-Suwayda From ISIS

In the last 24 hours Syrian Arab Army has significantly advanced in north-east As-Suwayda, capturing Wadi Arar and Rasm Hatayteh areas from the Islamic State terrorists. By evening, the troops were located 15 km from the major Islamic State stonghold – the city of Al-Qarah.

Fighters of the SDF made some significant gains against terrorists as well. Supported by Coalition artillery, as well as Iraqi Air Force and security services, Kurdish troops pushed ISIS from Abu Hamidah, Al-Hamidiyah, Al-Shamas and Al-Hulwa, located in the southeast of Al-Hasaka province.

A list of SAA and allied forces’ detachments, participating in the upcoming large-scale operation against militants in the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra was published. The main force will be held by the Tiger forces and the 4th division of the Syrian Army. Tiger Forces will directly engage in the liberation of the besieged areas of the city of Daraa, while the 4th division will have to split the pocket in two along the border between provinces.
