Syrian Army, Hezbollah Establish Fire Control Over ISIS stronghold In Suwayda

Volunteer troops fihgting on behalf of SAA in Suwayda desert, eastern Syria

Syrian Arab Army and allied forces have established fire control over the major ISIS stronghold in Suwayda province – the city of Al-Kara. Government forces have advanced deeper into the ISIS-held pocket, capturing important Wadi Arar and Rasm Hataite areas in the northeast of the province. There have been reports of heavy casualties on both sides. Several SAA tanks have been destroyed in the ongoing offensive.

Meanwhile, Syrian Democratic Forces continue their counterterrorist operation in Hasakah province. Reports say that US-backed fighters have captured Al-Shamas and Al-Huwla settlements east of Al Shaddadi.

Syrian Army continued their battle with militant forces in various regions, mostly in Aleppo, Daraa and Idlib. A list of SAA and allied forces’ detachments, participating in the upcoming large-scale operation against militants in the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra was published. Tiger forces and 4th division are expected to carry the main strike in the offensive.
