Last night, terrorists based in the east of the province of Homs, organized the offensive to advance the historic city of Palmyra. IS fighters stormed the positions of the SAA to the east of the T-3 Pumping Station and in the vicinity of the settlement of Humaymah. However, by morning the Syrian troops repulsed the enemy attack with the support of the SyAAF.
Over the past day, reinforcements of the SAA arrived in the western part of the city of Aleppo (Aleppo gov.) to prepare for the operation against militants. Also sent the day before in the province of Daraa, the Syrian Arab Army’s elite Tiger Forces were deployed on the southern front and now are waiting for the instruction to assault.
According to a military source, the USA is considering the possibility to transfer the territory of Al-Tanf in the south of the province of Homs to the government forces in exchange for the guaranteeing of the de-escalation of the conflict with Kurds in the south of the province of Deir Ezzor.
