ISIS Brake Agreement With Syrian Government; Syrian Army Takes Offensive Against Terrorists In South Damascus

Yesterday morning, a transition of nearly 1500 Jaysh al-Islam militants and their families from town of Dumayr (Damascus gov.) to Jarabulus (Aleppo gov.) has begun. Meanwhile Syrian Arab Army continued its offensive against militants in Eastern Qalamoun (Damascus gov.) and surrounded their positions in Ar Ruhaybah, cutting their supply routes. After some time the militants stopped resisting and agreed to surrender their weapons, as well as to leave the pocket in the next few days.

Government forces had a similar agreement reached yesterday with ISIS terrorists based in the southern part of the city of Damascus. However, by the evening terrorists have changed their minds and refused to leave the capital, forcing SAA to attack. Syrian and Russian jets begun active bombing of ISIS’s positions in the Al-Qadam district and Al-Yarmouk camp.

Over the past day, ISIS terrorists carried several attacks on SAA positions – near T-3 airbase east of Palmyra (Homs gov.) and in the outskirts of Al-Mayadin (Deir Ezzor). Syrian government has allowed Iraq to enter its airspace in order to strike terrorists in east Syria.
