Over the past day, Syrian troops have liberated from militants the settlement of Aftris (Damascus gov.). In just two weeks since the beginning of the operation in Eastern Ghouta, SAA has managed to liberate 2/3 of the territory.

This situation doesn’t suit the militants, dislocated in the province of Daraa. Yesterday they have announced the preparation for the attack on the SAA to divert government forces from the operation “Damascus Steel”.

Meanwhile, in the south of the city of Damascus, the partial transfer of the Al-Qadam district from militants to the government forces has begun. Terrorists from the neighbouring district tried to disrupt the operation but were soon pacified by air strikes of the Syrian Air Forces.

Pro-Turkish militants in the north-west of the province of Aleppo are getting closer to Afrin, thereby forcing local residents to leave the city as soon as possible. Kurdish detachments, according to some reports, have transferred control over several strategic positions to the troops of the “National Defense Forces”.
