“Olive Branch” Launches Major Offensive In North-Western Afrin

Turkey-backed FSA militants have advanced significantly during the offensive they’ve launched yesterday in northern and north-western territories of the Afrin Canton (Aleppo gov.). In one day FSA has gained Surayil, Mount Kachkadar, Maydankay Dam, Qurt Qulaq, Kafr Miza, Maryamin, Inab, Shavarighat Al Caviz and Melkiyah. It has also expanded on the opposite side of the Canton, taking Kafr Safra north of the town of Jenderes. A tank, an artillery gun and 2 ATGMs were captured by militants during battles. Turkish commandment updated the number of its enemies killed during the whole operation to 3149.

SAA opened a large-scale offensive on militants’ position near Saqba, Hamouriyah and Jisreen villages in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Militants counterattacked government forces in Beit Sawa, recapturing the village.

Violent clashes erupted in Latakia near the Shilif castle where 14 militants and 8 SAA soldiers were killed.
