Over the past day, during its offensive in Eastern Ghouta (Damascus gov.), the Syrian army has liberated from militants a military base to the east from the settlement of Hawsh al-Ashari, the settlement of Bayt Sawa and has started the operation to capture the settlement of Mesraba.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Air Forces and the Russian Air Forces have inflicted several air strikes on militant positions, who, in return, have attacked government forces in the recently liberated settlement of Al-Muhammadiyah, as well as in the vicinity of the settlement of Hawsh al-Ashari.

According to some reports, the Russian side through the Turkish representatives is trying to come to an agreement with militants in Eastern Ghouta. Under the terms of the deal, when a full ceasefire is achieved, the “Jaish Al-Islam” group will go to the supporters in the Daraa governorate and the militants of the “Faylaq al-Raḥmān” group – to the north of the governorate of Aleppo.

Supported by Turkey, the FSA fighters have continued their offensive against the Kurds in the Afrin Canton (Aleppo gov.) and have captured the settlements of Mashalah, Kafr Jana, Hallubu Kabir, Meydanki Dam to the north and northeast of the city of Afrin, as well as the Jandaris hill, located next to the city of the same name.
