Militants attempted to shoot down a Syrian L-39 aircraft flying over the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus with an MPADS. Fortunately, after the jet was hit, the pilot was able to escape from the shelling and successfully land it.

10 terrorists surrendered with their families to the Syrian Democratic Forces in the southern suburb of Deir Ezzor. At the same time ISIS conducted an execution of 7 defectors in the Ash Shafah village, which led to armed conflicts within their ranks.

According to recent reports, the number of Kurds killed within the framework of Olive Branch Operation has is now 1780. Erdogan said that the Turkish artillery fire forced pro-government militants to leave the Afrin Canton (Aleppo gov.), however, the militants immediately refuted this statement. Syrian Arab Army has made some gains in the Afrin outskirts, capturing Tel Selur village and several other points.

South from Afrin, in the western Aleppo countryside, heavy battles erupted between major militant formations: Tahrir Al-Sham and Jabhat Tahrir Suriyah (merger of Ahrar Al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zenki formations).  HTS militants have repulsed an attack on Daret Ezza from JTS, took back 8 villages and took a number of hostages. JTS, in their turn, ousted its enemy from Butbo village. After fierce clashes, JTS have also taken the town of Marat Al-Nouman in Idlib province. Battles continue.
