Over the past day, as part of operation “Olive Branch” in the northwest of the province of Aleppo, pro-Turkish fighters of the FSA have captured from the Kurdish troops the ancient city of Cyrrhus, as well as the settlements of Marsawiyah, Shaltah, Iki Dam, located to the west of the city of Kilis (Turkey). On the western front of the Afrin Canton, militants have repulsed the Al-Samout hill and the settlement of Hopkan. To the south and southeast of the city of Jandaris, FSA has established control over the settlements of Madaya, Diwan al-Tahtani, Khirabe Elus, and military camp El-Bayadah
Meanwhile, the soldiers of the “Syrian Democratic Forces” as a result of clashes with ISIS terrorists managed to liberate the part of the settlement of Al-Bahrah in the south of the province of Deir Ezzor.
In the province of Damascus, the preparations for a ground operation against militants in Eastern Ghouta are in full swing. Yesterday, reinforcement from the province of Raqqa has arrived to the Syrian troops on the fronts of Harasta and An-Nashabiyah. Meantime, militant’s positions are intensively bombarded by the Syrian Air Forces and artillery.
FSA fighters from the province of Daraa, in return, have threatened the Syrian army with a powerful attack, in case if a full-scale operation commences in Eastern Ghouta.
