Yesterday, FSA fighters announced a new operation against government troops in the east of the province of Idlib and, as a result of the attack, captured the settlement of Ajaz to the east of Maarat al-Numan. By evening, however, SAA regained control over the village.

Nearby, west of Abu al-Duhur, Syrian troops also had to defend themselves from the “Tahrir al-Sham” militants, who, in addition, used SVBIED.

To support government forces, the Russian Air Forces attacked the positions of both militant groups from the air all day long. Directly in the city of Maarat al-Numan, aircrafts destroyed the HTS weapon warehouse and two FSA headquarters.

At the front of the fight against terrorists in the northeast of the province of Hama, the Syrian army liberated about 30 settlements from the ISIS. At the moment terrorists control about 375 square kilometres. The troops are planning to completely clear this region in the coming days.
