North Hama Pocket Splits After Successful SAA Offensive

North Hama pocket

Last morning Syrian Arab Army forces carried swift offensive on ISIS positions in North Hama Pocket, (which includes parts of Hama, Aleppo and Idlib) capturing dozens of villages. The pocket was split in half as resistance from militants increased.

Meanwhile, Free Syrian Army sources claimed regaining control of the Tel Kalbah, Tuvalay Al-Khalib and their surroundings west of Abu al-Duhur in eastern Idlib.

Turkish-led militants took Kurdish Shaykh Khawruz and another YPG training camp north of Afrin. Kurds, in their turn, shelled SDF’s and Turkish Army’s positions in previously lost territories in northern part of the Afrin canton. Pro-Turkish media rushed to claim that there was chlorine used by Kurds during the shelling and 60 FSA militants suffered suffocation.
