Over the past day, SAA has continued to surround the settlement of Mughr al-Mir in the west of the province of Damascus and has captured several hills from militants to the east from the strategic city.

Meanwhile, in the north of the province of Hama, militants of the group “Jaysh al-Izza” have unexpectedly gone on the offensive and have captured checkpoint Zalin and the settlement of Az-Zallaqiyat from SAA. Eliminating several SAA soldiers, militants have taken 6 government soldiers as prisoners and have captured 130-mm cannon.

In connection with this, Russian Air Forces with the Syrian Air Forces have joined in combat operations and have attacked enemies not only in the captured points but also in the besieged cities of Al-Lataminah and Kafr Zita. Later in the afternoon, militants had to leave new positions and retreat.

Also, SAA continued to fight with militants from the “Tahrir al-Sham” on the fronts near the settlement of Abu Laffah in the north-east of the province of Hama, and to the east from the city of Khanasir in the south of the province of Aleppo.
