The Syrian Army liberates huge piece of territory in south Deir Ezzor and also approaches Mughr Al-Mir in west Damascus

As a result of yesterday’s anti-terrorist operation of the Syrian troops in the south of the province of Deir Ezzor, a territory of 2000 km2 was liberated between the settlements of Al-Salihiyah, Abu-Kamal, and T-2 Pumping Station. Elite units of the SAA were sent in this area from the province of Homs as reinforcements.

In the west of the province of Damascus, the Syrian Army has approached the strategic settlement of Mughr Al-Mir in Beyt Jinn pocket, capturing from local militants the hills of Zaher Al-Aswad.

Meanwhile, with the help of the RuAF, government forces have released several settlements from the Tahrir al-Sham, including the villages of Zafaria and Tell Boulus, located on the border between the provinces of Idlib and Hama. To the east, militants managed to repulse the attacks of ISIS and SAA at the same time. In the first case, Tahrir al-Sham members damaged the BMP, in the second – 8 Syrian soldiers were killed.
