Syrian Army captured 140 kilometers of the Aleppo-Raqqa highway

The Syrian Arab Army troops have continued their offensive against ISIS terrorists on the Al-Resafa-Ithria highway which connects Raqqa and Hama governorates. Reports say that most of the highway territory, the village of Qasr al-Metaj and the Arqub Zro Mountain have been cleared from terrorists. ISIS sources, in their turn, claim that they’ve killed 22 SAA soldiers east of Salamiah in Hama province. Also, the Syrian government forces say they’ve captured 140 kilometers of the AleppoRaqqa highway thereby ousting the terrorists from Aleppo governorate.

Syrian Army’s artillery and Air Force have been continuously striking ISIS positions near the Panorama Base and other districts of the city of Deir Ezzor, killing at least 11 terrorists in the last 24 hours.

Counter militant operations are ongoing in Damascus province with the main battlefields in the districts of governorate capital, Ayn Terma and Eastern Ghouta. Heavy bombings by Syrian artillery and Air Force have targeted militants’ positions in the city of Daraa and its northwest and east suburbs, the Naseeb checkpoint and the territories near the Jordanian border. Syrian Artillery has struck militant groups in Lataminah and Tharmalah. Well-trained Desert Hawks detachment has joined the pro-government forces in the region

Five suicide bombers attacked Lebanese soldiers as they raided two Syrian refugee camps in the Arsal area at the border with Syria on Friday and a sixth militant threw a hand grenade at a patrol, the army said. The army said seven soldiers were wounded and a girl was killed after one of the suicide bombers blew himself up in the midst of a family of refugees.
